Towns

Towns are built by the sovereign using the build town ability. Towns earn the player resources, including gold and population, and can construct buildings and units. Roads can be built between towns. As the town's population increases, the town increases in level. Towns must be built at least four tiles away from each other (ie. there must be at least three tiles between cities).

Statistics


Towns have three statistics: population, food, and prestige. Population and food govern the growth rate of the city.

Levels


Outpost

Settlement_Outpost1.png The first level of any settlement, upon creation. An Outpost has two tiles available for development.

Hamlet

Settlement_Village1.png When an Outpost's population reaches 100 citizens, it upgrades to a hamlet. At this point in time, an Outpost will grow to this level, without anything additional being built. A Hamlet has three tiles available for development.

Village
