Magic in Elemental: War of Magic is split up into two classes of spell, strategic and tactical. Strategic spells can only be cast on the world map and generally do not do damage. Tactical spells can only be cast while in a tactical battle in which your Sovereign or spell able Champion participate. Your Sovereign or Champion must also have access to the appropriate spell book, obtained either through Sovereign creation or Magic research.

Strategic

Air

Earth

Raise Land Starter spell 5 Instant 5 Turn water, beach and cliff into land; land into hill; but not hill into mountain.
Stone Skin 2 1 Indefinite 10 Target unit gains Int/4 to defense.

Enchantment

Chain Lightning 3 Infinite Instant 5 Creates a lighting storm which does up to the caster's intelligence in damage to all enemies in a radius of 1. The damage is increased for each air shard controlled.

Inferno 3 Infinite Instant 5 A ball of fire which deals up to caster's intelligence in damage in a 1 radius. The damage is increased for each fire shard controlled.
Fire Dart 1 Infinite Instant 2 A bolt of fire which deals up to caster's intelligence /2 in damage. The damage is increased for each fire shard controlled.
